Before the season started, one of my brother's friends bet my brother that the Packers would start the season 1-3 and my brother took the "over" for $20.

I don't know how this game will go, but even the homerest of homers probably didn't have this team going 4-0 out of the gate.

Wentz may challenge it, but not so sure the receivers he's throwing to will. Jackson, Jeffrey and Goedert are all probably going to be out again this week and their replacements can't catch. You can bet Wentz will be looking to Ertz and the RBs a lot on Thursday.

Ertz is going to be a challenge. Agholor can be very good when his hands cooperate. They also have like 32 RBs that can catch passes.

Philly has quite a few injuries and the oline is banged up a bit for them as well.

Oh man do we have a defense! Is it just me or is Preston Smith reminiscent of Julius Peppers? His stature, presence and tenacity remind me so much of him.

Peppers was a physical freak of nature. Preston is a little more “normal” size for his position. But the Smiths as a tandem (a trio if you count their new position coach) already have 7½ sacks between them. Matthews and Perry combined for five all of last season.

Defense- after game 2 against minny I thought giving up all the rushing yards could be a problem. Then the same thing against the Broncos, now once again against philly. This is a serious problem that I don’t see getting fixed. It’s one game but what I see is if the defense doesn’t get turnovers they can and will be run over and scored on. They had me fooled until I saw some of the bronco game. Biggest issue? Not knowing how to tackle. Do they teach that any more? Must stop worrying about stripping the ball and focus more on tackling.

Offense- gotta find a way to run the ball. 2 times in the red zone at the end of the game at home and can’t get in to at least tie the game? Not the sign of a playoff team.

What I think it comes down to is...lack of enough talent. Yea, they will win some games against decent to mediocre teams but when it comes to playoff teams, I believe GB will come up short every time. Could they turn it around and play lights out towards the end of the year? Anything is possible but right now they are trending towards a 8-8, 7-9 type of season.

I’ll be honest, the defense had me fooled for a second.

What is the point of making PI reviewable if they wont overturn it? Both teams have a bone to pick about this. This doesnt even address the final play issue. That MUST be reviewed.

Packers did not play well defensively. I never thought I would say this but man they miss Adams on that DL. Playing 6 DBs is making us light in the pants when addressing the run and that must be fixed.

They did for philly on their first TD.

Not sure if its just Adams. They haven't been able to stop the run since game 2. On the other side of the ball, they cant run it. this needs to be addressed as well.
