To be fair, he was hit as soon as he had that, Metcalf couldn't maintain his block.

It's just not his strong suit though. Never really has been. He doesn't break tackles and usually looks to go down or OB as soon as he catches it. Even if DK wipes that guy out, Lockett gets maybe 3 or 4 more yards? That play is just not in his wheelhouse.

I think they only ran 8 times, so that ypc is still higher than what we want to see. They were particularly successful on early down runs, but we usually clamped pretty good after that. All in all, it's an improved defense but still some kinks to work out.

The O needs to get their head out of their ass. We just don't have the OL for these slow developing plays. We screw around like this longer, and one lapse by the defense makes it a 1 score game.
