Except if you know anything about the Eagles, Chip Kelly did not. Apart from the fact that Boykin is unable to get on the field with an even worse Steelers defense.

1) It was a clear helmet to helmet - those making contact first, before the shoulders; as pointed out by Aikman and Pereira.

2) And as Pereira said, because it was a guard shifting from stance, it should have been called a false start - and therefore dead play.


That said, the Eagles have been bad and do not deserve to win the game. And the refs have been as bad as the Eagles offense.

Okay, then I missed where Pereira later corrected himself - and then the fumble was legit (and should be blamed on Kelce, not Bradford).

And as far as crying is concerned?

The helmet to helmet was about as blatant as you could get - and in fact they initially flagged that one. As stated repeatedly: the offense was atrocious, and based on their play the Eagles did not deserve the win. That does not excuse the officiating crew from not doing at least a half-decent job, which today they did not. Their level of officiating apparently was dragged down by the level of play of the Eagles offense. It is as simple as that.
