He got put into a shit situation. He was a great ball control QB at Stanford and they just basically threw Peyton's playbook at him. Totally dysfunctional organization.

Correct. The Colt organization just threw everything on Luck's shoulders and the guy can only do so much. He was improving every year until last years disastrous, injury-riddled season. I still don't understand the philosophy, cause it seems everytime Luck goes to throw, it's a seven step drop, down the field attack behind a suspect offensive line. This ain't 1976 or 1986 anymore. They need some quick reads/throws to get him in rhythm, which would open up the downtown routes.

Luck also needs to take better care of the ball (and himself) and not actually believe he's the saviour for all things Colt football.

I some what agree with you that now the team isn't very good but he had good teams and always choked.

Not sure what he saw there... Forcing a ball into double coverage like that. And not even a lofted one either. Straight bee-lined it into the defender's chest.

Ryan may not be in the upper echelon of quarterbacks, but he's also in a situation where he's heavily relied upon. There are a lot of franchises that would take him right now in a heartbeat.

I think Arizona needed this destruction of TB right after a very suspect home opener. On the other side, pretty humbling for Winston and company.

I knew Verrett was good, but I didn't consider him a shutdown CB until today... Granted I don't follow SD very closely
