Seems kind of redundant considering the current state of the Steelers' season. Tomlin said they would be judged on how they rebound but IMHO that's not true. They could blow out the Browns 50-0, but if the Jets win its meaningless. They failed again against a terrible opponent. They continuously show they can be good in the face of adversity, but cannot handle being great. It's a shame!

If the Jets lose and Steelers win, then they get a second chance and can rewrite the script. If not this season will be remembered by one game – week 16 against the Ravens.

But I think its all about context... If you were told at the beginning of the year that this team would win 10 games, would you have considered that a good year? Most years that is a playoff team, but unfortunately not this year. Alternatively, if you reverse the season and put the loss to the Ravens at the beginning of the year and Ben’s injury at the end. Is it still as painful? The problem is in our expectations. For a brief period of time it seemed like the Steelers were shoe-ins for the playoffs and likely SB contender. That makes their possible dismissal all the more hurtful. Still, I haven’t given up, and even if things don’t work out this weekend, there is always next year.

It's a faint glimmer of hope, but that's better than no hope at all, right?

Go Steelers!

Good post...I said I wasn't going to talk about the BAL game but something needs to be said here...I assume Tomlin signs off on or at least knows what the OFC and DEF game plans are for every game. OFC is clicking along avg 30+ a game, then barely 20 pts vs BAL in week 16?

At some point he and Haley need to realize that the Ravens know your OFC and they game plan against you better than any one in the league. Regardless of how well things are going, consider going off grid a little the next time you meet them in a must win situation.

IMO we've seen a lot of growth in the DEF, but they are not yet a championship caliber group.

Because of the state of the AFC...if they don't make it ...the "what ifs" will linger all off season for me as a fan.

Yes,so today is do or die time.
And not even to die by our own hands, but to wish for a Jets loss.
It really does boil down to the two horrific losses to Balt.
The Scobee debacle, and then last weeks vomit on the field.
Also, seems Ben has some sort of bug right now.

Pretty mediocre showing so far... Defense has looked ok, aside from Antwon Blake giving up his usual chunk yardage. Pass rush is doin alright, need to keep it up. Hopefully the entire team plays better in the 2nd half.

Bills are handling their business. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Unbelievable... None other than James Harrison with the INT... lol

I wonder what his career stat in INT's is... 2 or 3?
