How long does it take for an NFL player to recover from an ACL?

I had ACL replacement surgery (plus an MCL and meniscus tear) at age 50 and was back playing ice hockey in less than 6 months.

Once the ACL is replaced (and youre still under the anesthesia), the doctor bends your leg to make sure it holds up. Post surgery, recovery and therapy all depend on your pain level tolerance. The quicker you push yourself, the quicker youre back.

With today's medical advancements, and a typical NFL state-of-the-art facilities, he could be back sooner.

Bears have never lost to Cleveland at home.

It did say earliest was 6 months.....So Parsons will be back by start of next season,Sept is 9 months away......

The Bears defeated the Browns, 31-3, to improve to 10-4. Here's a look at the best and worst PFF grades from their Week 15 win.

It was nice to see Colstand with the top offensive grade. Watching him as the season's progressed, I think he has the best hands on the team. And his blocking has been a pleasant surprise as well. Also nice to see Jonah Jackson's name there, who is the OL's unsung hero this season. And look who killed it on the D side of the ball and with the best overall grade, D'Marco Jackson. What a pickup!

As for the worst grades, I'm a bit surprised Joe Thuney and Kevin Byard made the respective lists. Just goes to show I don't have a friggin' clue how PFF formulates their grades.

Well, their only offense was two deep balls, so....

Thuney is gonna get All-Pro, so I'll let a game slide against the No. 2 overall Defense in the league.

Wasn't trying to second-guess what you found. The point to my personal experience is that my orthopedic surgeon was very informative and he said once the new ligament is in, there isn't much that can go wrong. Pain is the result of non-use of the new ligament (and the surrounding muscles), not because there is a chance of re-injury.

No AJ,I was not thinking that all.....no issue here.
I have never been thru it,knock on wood,so I would not know what to expect......
