Here comes the first of two games within three weeks against our historic archrivals. ESPN has our boyz as a 6.5 u-dogs, Fanduel is a bit more generous at 5.5 u-dogs. I think the going over/under is 45.5

In any event, this has now turned out to be the game of the year for our surprising Norris & NFC conference leaders. Unlike our previous Eagles opponents, who have relied heavily this season on their defense, the Packers present a more balanced roster. Interestingly enough, we're on top of them when it comes to offense, both in yards and points per game, altho their O in general is very balanced. Their defense is solid, ranking 4th in the NFL in yards surrendered, whereas we're down with the dregs at #27. And yet we still far and away lead the league in turnovers with a +17, while the Pack sits at a +4.

I read where Fox is making this their national game, which is obviously no surprise considering the history of our two teams, coupled with the importance of this game from a standings/playoff standpoint. I hope it's carried here in Vegas. It would be nice to relax and enjoy the game from the comforts of my digs.

Wait… people actually think we have a chance in this game? That’s hilarious. Duped because of a win against a falling apart Philly team. I just feel bad for this fan base. We deserve better than what is about to to happen. They actually gave us hope and that’s scary. How we’re winning isn’t sustainable. Fitting we’re riding this fraudulent high into Green Bay. Just in time for daddy to set us straight.

I would say “say your prayers and hope for a miracle”… but the god we pray to? Yup, it’s the Green Bay packers. They own us. They own our souls.

It’s coming… the storm.

Green Bay 41
Bears 15

The 7th seed and descending.

Their offense has been quite poor besides an outlier game against a falling apart Detroit defense. We lead the league in offense since week 2. Not sure why you’re surprised.

Two interesting updates here:

Edwards might be playing this week and I'm liking the Week 16 home game against the Pack, with the league flexing this to a Saturday night broadcast!

Think the Philly win was big? Win in Lambeau with first place on the line. Then the targets shift to us.

We didn't get to smack Rodgers around, but it will be just as pleasing if we Love gets smacked around.....

Can the Bears win this game? Absolutely. Will they?

Not sure.

The challenge will be the Packers offense. It won't be the dysfunctional mess that the Eagles put on the field last Friday. The Eagle offense was far less potent than a mediocre Steeler unit with Mason Rudolph at QB.

I also expect the Packers to avoid Fangio's blunder of sticking with 2 high safeties even as the Bears oline was obliterating the normally stout Eagles front. Caleb will have chances to make plays Sunday - a lot of them. If he's reasonably accurate, the Bears will be in this game until the end.

If Johnson and Poles really want everyone to think things are different now...it starts with beating the Packers.

How many times over the past couple decades have we had just absolute heartbreak against this team? Late game blown coverages, fumbles that no one wanted to pick up, Lovie letting the Packers walk into the playoffs, just on and on.

There's a chance on the table to show the fanbase that it's different this time.

How did we win that game with an oline like that.....??
We went from a bottom 5 OL and arguably the worst in the league to a top 5, and one could argue the best in the league. Not sure I'd rank our pass pro way up there, but our run D to me is without question the league's best.

Assuming Thuney maintains his health for the rest of the season, he's undoubtedly a lock for the Pro Bowl, but also a leading candidate for All Pro as well.

Sewell and Edwards practiced at the unofficial practice yesterday! Nice. Now, someone bribe the staff to clear Billings through concussion protocol.

If this team and D gets fully healthy? Boy…

This is awesome.

There was a small part of me that thought the Chiefs were only trading him because they knew he was about to go downhill. Like old school Patriots style whenever they got rid of a player.

But he's been an absolute stud.

Here's the Bears injury report as of today:

A lot of guys on IR. If there's a silver lining to that, there's only one starter on the list, Tremaine Edmunds, and at some point he'll return.

Here's the Packers report:

Not quite as many on IR, but they have two key starters, TE Tucker Kraft and C/G Elgton Jenkins, out for the season. Not sure about the rest of their injured players as far as their status on the team.
