From best to worst (by losses)

1) AFC West - 10

2) NFC West - 13

3) AFC East - 16 (T)

4) NFC North - 16 (T)

5) AFC North - 19 (T)

6) NFC South - 19 (T)

7) AFC South - 20

8) NFC East - 21

Some would say that the AFC West record is skewed by the Broncos & Chiefs record but the Raiders are the best last placed team in football.

Lots of talk that the AFC East is "a weak division" Numbers don't show it.

Note: the 4 AFC division leaders, total 1 loss to NFC teams
the 4 NFC division leaders total 7 losses to AFC teams.

Beginning of the season, I though AFC East is not going to be that good, but the Jets are doing much better than I expected. Same with Buffalo. I think Miami is about to jump off a cliff after losing their LT and LG.

Injuries seems to kill NFC North. Minnesota and Green Bay are down to their 3rd string QB, or something like that. I have given up paying attention to MIN's QB situation. Chicago is begging for their back up to play after Cutler coming back. Calvin Johnson has struggled with injury during this season.

I think NFC South will be the team that finishes the most improved from the way they started. Carolina is on a 5 game winning streak. The Saints is the 2nd best in NFC and still in the running to be top seed. Tampa Bay still has a lot of talent and a very strong defense. Atlanta struggling but they obviously could easily turn things around.

Rams have a better record and point differential

That point was made before the Raiders lost today. Everything here is dated. As soon as you post, things change. If you think that the Rams are the best last-place team in football, I won't argue. LOL

It's kind of ironic that often people post about how say the AFC west record is skewed by the Chiefs and Broncos wins, whereas the NFC and AFC south are both near the bottom mostly based on one really bad team in each. Don't know that any of it matters all that much anyway. I don't really look at divisions as a whole. Too many variables.

There is a ton of parity in the NFL today. Thats the only real takeaway I have.
