Something tells me he may not think to highly of the SJ brass these days. Besides I would be shocked if Doug traded one of the two goalies that he just signed this offseason.
Unless he can play D. He couldn't be any worse than Wallin or Huskins.

Can the Sharks fans tell me who the heck Ty Wishart is? I know he was the 16th pick overall in 2006. He's big 6'4 & he was part of the Dan Boyle trade.
What should I expect?
I wish the Roli best. I'm glad he's going to be given a shot to win. Unfortunately my team doesn't seem to care whether they win or lose. The Isles have been playing better so they seem to have decided to trade two guys so they start losing again. I don't get it.

Wishart was a guy who was very highly thought of for a long time. The longer it's taken him to make it to the NHL, the further he's fallen off people's radar. He's got good size and plenty of natural talent, but for some reason hasn't been given a real chance at the big show yet.
In short, a lot of people consider him a bust at this point (not sure why his stock has dropped so dramatically, he's only 21 or 22) but until he plays a season in the NHL I'm not sold either way. I've seen him a few times when the Admirals or whoever it was came to Grand Rapids, he looked pretty good out there.

He's been sent to Bridgeport. With all the injuries the Islanders have had on the blueline it won't be long before Wishart is given a chance.
The most I expected for Roloson was a 3rd round pick. So getting a young, 22 defenseman with some upside from what I've read is a bit of a surprise. You can't teach 6'4. Granted he apparently doesn't have a mean streak, but a good slapper. Wishart fits a need for the Isles. If he plays well in Bridgeport he'll be called up soon.

Yeah from what I've read Wishart was considered somewhat of a throw in for Boyle. I don't know what's wrong with him. It takes a bit longer for defenseman to develop.
The Islanders really like Hamonic & word is Matt Donovan who was part of last years Gold Medal WJC team could be signed after the season ends for the U of Denver.
The Islanders have a bunch of defenseman coming.
