I like Watson, but because I'm likely going to have to give up a lot more for Watson (but I don't see any chance the Jets give up the #2 overall for him and certainly not more than that IMO) and also pay him a lot more I would target Stafford. Good QB. Good enough to win with. Will come cheap enough that you can put a team around him

I've heard that Watson would only cost his new team 27M per.
If true then Houston should get three #1's as a minimum.

I do think if a deal gets done, it will cost the team that gets Watson the largest price in NFL history

If I'm the Colts I pick up the phone and inquire about Stafford. IND was in the top-10 in PF and top-10 in fewest PA. They had a damn good season with Rivers. I figure there's no chance in hell the Texans do business with the Colts since they're division rivals. If that weren't the case then it's Watson, but Stafford would be a great pick up for a team ready to win now.

Watson is a great talent but will command too much. I'm not mortgaging the farm on him. One injury away from crippling your franchise at that price.

I'm a Stafford fan. Hope he does well wherever he ends up. I'd like to see what he can do on a contender?

Why not? Detriot isn't a threat to win the north, and they don't appear to be close to doing so. If Chicago offers them the best deal to get Stafford for 3 maybe 4 years Detroit has no reason not to do so. With the picks they can try to be ready to win about the same tine Stafford walks away.

The rivalry between these two teams isn't on par as the GB/Chi rivalry.

they have another first rounder this year and a load of 2nd and 3rds, and Darnald will prob net them a 3rd or 4th

with the cap space they have, they can build something pretty quick

It's pretty much a given that it will cost the jets or the Dolphins both 1st round picks this year and what is expected to be very low 1st round picks in 2022 and 2023.

The Texans know that if they give Watson to either team, that they will most likely be in the playoffs in 2021 and the Dolphins will be for sure. Since they are both in the AFC East it will be a nasty bidding war. Tua or Darnold won't be anything more than than the piece that tip trade.

Considering that both are giving up 4 first, which QB would you rather have?

If I was Caserio, I'd r*pe the Jets and Get Darnold their 4 firsts because the 2022 will be much higher than Miami's and I'd squeeze them for TE Ryan Griffin.

I'd guess Watson is worth about 3500 on the draft trade value chart. (Trevor Lawrence is 3000 for reference). A relatively unprecedented trade if it happens. I could totally be low-balling that value, too.

Stafford is probably worth about 1000. Lots of teams can do that.
