It kinda did when he said Bo told him that they want his speed and cutting ability to compliment Taylor's speed and this explosive offense.

Sounded to me like they are planning on running with the same exact offense for years to come....

What do you mean by "dumb down the passing game?" I already think it is mostly dumb in it's implementation....

with Taylor it was.. but our playbook basically has the zone read option running game, and west coast passing..

We wouldn't use west coast passing..

ok, I guess I just assume whoever replaces Watson would have a big influence on the type of offense we run based upon their own offensive philosophy. Do you think if we fired Watson, that the replacement will be only a puppet head? Ok, maybe not a puppet head, maybe your suggesting the replacement would be chosen for having a philosophy not to include the west coast passsing? I could see that.

I guess the system, ie west coast passing, or whatever isn't what irritates me about Watson, but the way he goes about real time in game coaching calls. I love how the Pelinin's have a basic defensive philosophy, but make tweaks to it based on the talent the opponent features, and do a good job adjusting during the course of the game. I rarely see an offensive game plan by Watson put together to exploit the opponents weaknesses, and I never see any in game tweaks to his game plan. It's like he decides this is what he's gonna do and that's it, whether the other team is stopping it or not.

Ya, it doesn't help that our offense was limited and full of injuries, but the playcalling was terrible.

and I'm assuming that Tim Beck would be named OC, and he would keep much of the offense.. I guess anything could happen and it would depend on who comes in..
