Alan Moore's graphic novel Watchmen has previously been adapted for live-action twice, first as the 2009 Zack Snyder film and then as the 2019 HBO TV series.

It is now being adapted as a two-part animated film or miniseries, scheduled for release on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

the 2019 wasn't exactly the same thing as the graphic novel...actually it was more of a sequel to it.

I thought the 2009 movie was good. Not sure I liked the movie ending better than the graphic novel though

problem with Watchmen is that it was a one of comic that was amazing...

we dont need a retelling of the exact same story without any liabilities taken... we have seen the movie...

but if they are just taking the characters and creating new and original story arc... that would be fun...

Not sure. But they should account for everything.

I thought what they did with the 2019 show was great

I am sure some think it was a little too woke as it pertained to race and all that...but I thought it was well done
