Speaking of stupid, they showed the Pens-Panthers on SN last night using the Pens feed and, wow, I will never complain about the Leafs' play-by-play again. Did they pull those guys from high school basketball broadcasts?

They have a long history of broadcasting excellence. I've always been stone cold stunned how bad they were.

Craig Laughlin grates on my nerves too. Everybody has a nickname and his delivery is Shatner pauses with Phyllis Diller nasally voice. STOP WITH THE NICKNAMES. WE GET IT, THEY CALLED HIM 'OLIE THE GOALIE'!

"Strong de-fen-sive play in the neu-tral zone by Syl-van Co-te along-the-boards. Great pass up-the-wing to Bon-zai who dish-es the bis-cuit to Cal-le YO-Han-sen for the one-timer..."

So glad I moved away and don't have to listen to him anymore.
