A week to go until the game comes out on the 27th. Can't wait. All the videos their FB site has been posting about it has me wanting it more than when GTA V came out. This game seems a lot more detailed. Will probably keep us busy for a while.

I have it pre-ordered. This one will tide me over for the summer until Quantum Break comes out in the fall.

Looks like the hacking version of assassin's creed. if it has that same repetitiveness then it'll fall short of the massive hype.

I played it for a couple of hours tonight on Xbox One.

Fun game. A little repetitive, but so was GTA V if you really get down to it.

I'd give Watch Dogs a 9/10, whereas I'd give GTA V a 9.9/10, though.

I'm still waiting for the first really great next gen playing experience.

It honestly doesnt look like a bad game at all but im still waiting for the dust to clear with all of these bad servers and bugs these next gen games have. Im sure Watchdogs 2 or Watchdogs with Full DLC will be a better purchase and I can wait. Watchdogs was also supposed to be original and have insane graphics but instead it just looks like a mix of other games with expected graphics.

9/10 looks about right. Hopefully Ill be picking it up cheap somewhere down the road

What I've read is the general sentiment is the game was overhyped to absurd degree and that's why its getting a lot of negative feedback. If you can shift through all the angst from those who bought the hype, the consensus is the game is just ok to good. Like an 8.7 out of 10.

I think developers and gamers aren't on the same page when it comes to Triple A games.

A game with a massive budget isnt going to take risks. Not when Indie games are basically being fully funded on Kickstarter. Games with massive budgets have massive server issues and bug issues and framerate issues and resolution issues. They arent going to take huge risks on the gameplay.

Watchdogs originally got on the map because it was the only game shown at a show that wasnt a sequel. A few years later, after being lied to about the quality of the graphics, gamers are now seeing that Watchdogs is a synthesis of multiple games that came before it and is just using a new skin. Gamers feel cheated but the multiplayer will be just good enough and it will sell just enough to make enough money for an update with better gameplay.

Most of the games on the next gen that will be worth playing will be Indie games or Mods made by fans. Almost guaranteed. The game you're playing the most a few years down the road, though, will likely be a big budget game that has you hooked on its multiplayer.

Well, it's still early, as you have seen with the previous generation, it takes developers some time to fully understand how to use the hardware to it's maximum potential. I haven't even bothered to buy an Xbox1 or PS4 yet and I don't feel like I'm missing anything at all.

i feel that way about my PS4 since i got that primarily for gaming, and there hasn't been a game worth buying for it yet.

but my XB1 is great for me so far. i love being able to switch back and forth from amazon instant video, to netflix, to a game, to a bluray, to directv all with voice and all pretty much instantaneously. it actually keeps all of the different apps you're using on pause until you come back to them. i really hope that developers continue to try to maximize the OS and the Kinect capabilities.

Considering Microsoft is now selling X1s without Kinect, I doubt developers will spend significant time with it. I'd say it has a greater chance of being an afterthought than anything else

I couldn't care less if they develop it for games.

Outside of gaming, voice and motion interface with electronics aren't just fads. Whether it's specifically for the Kinect or not initially, developers will continue to grow the technology.

Anyhoo, as far as gaming goes, I guess I can look forward to Destiny and the new Halo game.

Overall I agree with this. I played it the other night for a few hours and it's fun but it's not that great. It is tougher to get away from the cops compared to GTA that's for sure.
