I don't think RR wants to pay him that kind of money. I think RR likes him just fine but would like him at a lower salary.

and this isnt directed at you or anyone but its a FO choice not a lack of money . we have the money . he will either use wes , or charles or even draft an OG if hernadez doesnt cut it and hope you can win with a top 15 o/line instead of top 6

I know you weren't directing your comments at me. I see this as the same as the Cousin's situation. They want him but they want him at the salary they are agreeable to. I like Scherff, just like I liked Cousin's but I don't think they are going to pay him. He is better off to go get paid if that is the case, at least go test the market.

Of course BS is not going to sign a long term deal now. The cap is going up significantly next year that is why no tagged player is signing long term right now. in the NFL.

Most players wont sign long term deals not in less its projectded in future cap .. i think BS can get 18 mill a year from a team that has 70 to 90 mill in cap space thats like 2 years 36 mill . I bet he wants 3 years 54 mill

much like the KC ordeal this is a bungled job by the FO by failing to sign him, or by getting anything in a trade for him . we cud get a 3rd round comp pick for him depending on what we do in FA , but we should have been able to retain him or get more for him

Right so stupid us tagged him again this year where he would never get 18m on a long term deal if he went somewhere else. Bad move. Even if he did walk we still have Flowers, Schit, and Charles for this year. Bad move by RR.

i think he hoped he could resign him . now if i am correct i dont think flowers was on the roster when that went down as far as the 2nd tag being applied and all you had was wes , the unproven charles , and martin
