I cant think of anything more pathetic than losing at home to WAS. As it is we probably need to sweep the rest of the season to get in the playoffs.

Time to start Xmas shopping.

I kind of hope they lose this one after being up 24-3. They must have a shot at the record for games lost after having a lead.

Alex Smith coming back from the dead to throw for nearly 400 yards. Only the Lions

Yup, pretty bad. 400 yards to a guy who has not played in over 2 years.

wait, is a quarter and a half of nothing but prevent defense bad?

I guess when you have a kicker that can make 60 yard FGs consistently it is not as big a deal. It is a real shame because the defense played decent up to that point. It made them look way worse then they were.

I think Smith was something like 30 for 36 for 220 at halftime? Lions did way better against the run, but I am not sure their pass defense was any good at any point.

Pretty strange that Patricia was more man defense but the wins this year have come from playing man less than 60%.

I understand the premise. Smith hadnt played in over 2 years so they were going to force WAS to throw. Held them to 3 point for 2.5 quarters is not bad.

That is what giving different looks will do. I know we have a talented secondary but there is no way they can cover forever and a good QB will stick pick it apart if he knows where they are going to be.

Losing to the Jets at home? But, yeah, it would've been pathetic to lose to the Skins. As their next victory against a team not in the NFC east will be their first victory this year against a team not in the NFC east. The Lions also kept another streak intact when they scored 30 points. The only teams the Skins have held under 30 points this year also reside in the NFC east.

You're just starting Xmas shopping eh. As a Skins I've been doing my shopping for the last 3 weeks now.

I don't have a problem with giving different looks but Oruwariye and Okudah get lost in zone coverage when picking up player when they come into their zone. Neither of those two CB have shown the ability to recognize on a consistent basis. You rarely see either of those two jam the receiver at the LOS when in press-man and both have shown tight hips in zone versus man.

I tried to tell you that about Okudah a ways back but you poo pooed me. They have a lot of potential but I agree their zone coverage has been bad. Amani at least has been a nice surprise in ma coverage. I would like to see more jamming up front as well.

Touche'.

In all honesty, every single cornerback taken in round 1 of this last years draft had tight hips in the same regard as I noted above except Jeff Gladney.

Imo, it wouldn't have mattered who BQ had chosen as their 1st round draft choice bc these two would've pooh pooed that player anyways. Tua, Herbert, Simmons, Henderson, Brown take your pick. Player development isn't their thing unless you are talking about OL-men. jmo.
