Obviously Rip was good enough to actually talk trash and not be traded. This other dude was not. Profits entire career was shorter than MJs career as a Wiz
Sounds like the dude at the YMCA that hits one shot all game and let’s everyone know about it
Except Rip got traded too.
For Jerry Stackhouse.
What do Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, and Rip Hamilton all have in common?
They all started their careers with the Wizards and were either dealt for fading vets or allowed to walk away for nothing.
Well there you go. MJ was going homer with Haywood and Stackhouse — both Carolina boys. No one ever said Jordan was a good GM/whatever.
but Profit averaged 1 bucket a game in his entire career so he really never earned the right to talk trash to anyone.
Yeah. Just pisses me off that we had most of the Pistons starting lineup and let them all go.
Wizards gonna Wizard.
Wonder why he traded Sheed? Sheed and Stackhouse were awesome to watch at Carolina. Had McGinnis too
Rip for Stackhouse seems pretty even up trade unless picks were involved
I agree...well, at least that he'll coach again. Guess would be those 2 at top of list.Urban Meyer will be USC's next HC in 2022.
He's too young to never coach again.
But keep an eye out for N.D.'s # 1 lucky leprechaun Lou Holtz. He'll try to work his South Bend magic & lure the Urbanator with a pot of gold.
Well, it was Laron Profit + a 1st rounder for Haywood. Haywood definitely had the better career, but the Wizards probably still gave up too much for him.
would not be surprised if he took an NFL opportunity if offered. Think not dealing with recruiting might help him out some.I think the Urbanator should take the Akron U. job.
I wanted to find out what happened to that draft pick. I found that Orlando wound up trading that pick (20th pick in 2005 draft) to Denver in exchange for Jameer Nelson. Denver used the pick to draft Julius Hodge. Washington's only pick in that draft was the 49th pick, Andray Blatche. In between the 20th pick and 49th pick, notable players are Jarrett Jack, David Lee, Ersan Ilyasova, Nate Robinson, Lou Williams, and Monta Ellis.
Jameer Nelson had some productive years for the Magic. I would say that the Magic clearly won the trade. Haywood was a very average player. Maybe even below average.
I tend to agree. Just because the player Orlando picked didn’t amount to much doesn’t change the value of the pick itself.
Haywood was a decent bench big, so this trade probably close to a wash in all honesty. But it wasn’t a win for Washington.
Federer, Gretzky, Bonds, Kareem, it can be doneName 1 successful athlete that is in the GOAT conversation who couldn’t be deemed a cry baby?
Federer, Gretzky, Bonds, Kareem, it can be done
You said in the conversationFederer is a tennis player, I’m sure he complained. GTFO if you can’t put Wayne and Barry as cry babies, learn sports history dude. Kareem, I will allow, him and Bill Russell would be two guys that contradict my statement but neither are GOAT’s, they are Mt Rushmore guys but no one would argue Kareem is better than Jordan, LeBron or Kobe do they?
