Nick Martin is the brother of Cowboys (Probowl) guard Zack Martin. If we pick him, let's hope that talent doesn't skip siblings in the Martin family. If we shore up the center position somehow (hopefully through the draft), we'll have one of the best young o-lines in the league.

If the OL doesn't make holes, it doesn't alter who is back there.

Normally I tend to agree but it's been so obvious this year that Alf is getting 2 yards when good backs get 7 that even fans like me can see it. People that really study film, and I'm not talking about Cooley, say he is missing cuts all over the field. Jones shows more promise but he hasn't really made guys miss either.

Watching the Note Dame vs. Ohio St. game and Martin is looking real good. Saw him put his guy on his back and moves well while getting to the second line of defenders.

How does Jones show more promise when he's averaging less yards per carry, 3.40, than Alf has at 3.56 this season?

What makes you think a fifth round IR rookie should be counted on?

FA RBs...Matt Forte, Chris Ivory, Doug Martin, James Starks, Steven Ridley, Chris Johnson. CJ Anderson, Charcandrick West...just to name a few.

There are better ways to go than wasting draft capital on a first round RB. That doesn't even include all the RBs in the draft.

As for AMMO suddenly missing holes, how do you account for that? Did he suddenly go blind? More likely, the holes are not there or he is missing them because the scheme does not suit him. RB success is scheme oriented and dictated by OLs.

Again, we are beating a dead horse here. Redskins will not go RB in the first round in next years draft. I like the LB from Bama, and would be good with selecting that position as our first pic.

But, IMO we need to find a RB with much better vision. Watch closely how well Pierre Thomas see's the holes compared to what we've had all season. I think Pierre is our sleeper in the playoffs.

So what happened to AMMO's vision?

I would say it is a combination of things such as OL and scheme that AMMO does not necessarily fit. As for the direct comparison, could it be situational? Maybe they know AMMO is in there not to catch passes.

I definitely think it's been more scheme for ALF, and he does not fit. The 2012 season was amazing. 2013 and 14' weren't bad either, but can you imagine how many yards a RB like Jamaal Charles (3rd round pick btw) would have had as our RB in 2012? Probably would be the NFL record holder for the most rushing yards by a RB in a season if he were a Redskin. How many times has ALF been caught from behind?

Hell, a 4th round pick like a Devonte Freeman or an undrafted Arian Foster would have had the record for rushing in 2012. I guess my point is, it was scheme for ALF. There will absolutely be RB's available late in the draft with better speed and vision who will be more successful in Jay's offense.

What play is not used any more in the run game? A lot here didn't like it but it worked very well. The toss to Alf, he received the ball with his shoulders square and hit the hole (or cut back) with more decisiveness.
