I was doing radio and it sounded like a bizarre start. Toffoli tripping penalty 9 seconds into the game, then Coyotes score off the faceoff, so it was 1-0 Arizona like 15 seconds into the game. So they put out "That 70's line" and Toffoli takes another tripping penalty at 38 seconds. Even Nick Nickson was like "That has to some kind of record".
Sutter pulled Budaj after the first, and we got to see a little Zatkoff. Sutter played Budaj in 22 straight games, ala exactly how he plays Quick. Anyone else think that this is a recipe for disaster (and maybe it has already show in Quick's most recent injury), playing goalies that much (And Doughty too for that matter)? Kiprussof in Calgary basically retired a lot earlier than he had to and I always wondered about that.
I'm not overly worried about Budaj because he isn't in our long term plans, but as a concept I would love to see the top guys get a little rest occasionally.
