Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller thinks Wade Phillips is just the defensive coordinator to let him make the most of his talents.

Miller told the team’s website that he thinks the new defense Phillips is installing will let him do what he does best, and attack the quarterback.

“I think we’ll be a little more aggressive,” Miller said. “I’m looking forward to it. It’ll be pretty exciting.”

started all 16 games last season and had 14 sacks, but he said he believes he’ll be in better shape in 2015 because last year he spent his offseason rehabbing from a torn ACL.

“I’ve been working extremely hard this offseason,” Miller said. “Last year I couldn’t really do as much with the ACL surgery but now I’m 100 percent and I’m doing all I can every single day. I’m looking forward to my teammates and all the guys leaning on me to make some plays.”

The Broncos’ offense is still faced with the enormous question of whether Peyton Manning will come back, as well as questions about free agents Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Wes Welker.

I like to believe this new defensive scheme will maximize the talents of Von Miller. When we drafted him I was excited obviously by the talent that the kid has but I didn't think he was that great of a fit for our system. It seemed like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole kind of thing. Even with that Miller made it work with turning in 3 very very productive seasons for the Broncos. Now that we finally have a scheme that fits his skill set so much more I can see him being the 20 sack a season kind of guy for the next few years. This is the same system that had DeMarcus Ware pretty much in the DPOY race every single season. To me Von Miller has the physical skills to be even better than Ware by the time this is all said and done.

The one big question mark I have on defense though is what is going to happen at the NT position? Wade Phillips has kind of been the odd ball when it comes to what he likes in a NT in he likes a smaller faster guy at the position. I honestly could see him wanting Elway to sign a guy like Nick Fairley to play his NT spot as the guy has a great first step and can shoot the 1-gap system that Phillips loves so much.

Heard some talk about having Sly take the spot. Not sure how that would pan out but going to a 3-4 will certainly cause probs for oppossing O-lines with the likes of Miller and Ware being able to move around some along with the potential for Trev and Marshall to shoot gaps along with some Ward blitzes, might just work for Sly being able to put pressure due to missed blks/assignments caused by the speed guys and confusion on the O-line. Going to be real interesting starting now as to how much noise Denver makes in FA and heading to April

Yeah I have heard about Sly taking over the NT position and he is one of those guys that he could either thrive in the system or completely tank. When we drafted him he was known as a penetrating DT where in Del Rio's system he was asked to cover 2-gaps and then attack. I don't think that system fit his skill set all that well. So with Phillips 1-gap system I do like his chances to make a few more plays for our team. Plus it did sound like Elway after the season ended went and had a talk with him of letting him know the team needed him to step up this next season so he better work his tail off this off season. Elway seems to know how to light a fire under players. Just stinks that we have needed our VP/GM to be the one to do it. I'm hoping this new coaching staff can do a bit better job at some of that.

Yeah CD I think the likes of Fox and Del Rio had serious motivation deficiencies and lacked the know how or abilities to utilize the talent they had with an aggressive style offense and D. From all we've heard and have seen of Kubiak and Wade, we've got nowhere to go but up and am confident that we're going to see a much different aggressive team this yr!
