With Miller’s 3rd sack of the game this week he placed himself in the top 50 of all-time sack leaders in NFL history.

The real question is - where is Von going to be on the list at the end of the year? This defense is going to come at you - and Von Miller will get many more chances to rush the passer than in previous years - judging by the 1st game of the season.

I think Von may get to 25 sacks this year.

What I noticed was how good Von adjusted to the way the Seahawks were blocking him -- He's so smart and catches on very fast in terms if adjusting to how teams will attempt to contain him .. He knew exactly where Russell would be and when he would step up in the pocket and adjusted his angles ..

And Von has seems to have eliminated the tendency to mistime the count and jump offsides .. ( He's looked so good he could probably give the old "one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi" count before rushing the passer and still get there in time )

Chubb's arrival is already being felt. He's opening Von up. Barrett looked good too. Shane Ray looked like a 6th rd pick out there.

Yep. And having that push up the center reminded me of the old days (three-ish years ago) with Malik.

They just cant double any longer; Chubb proved that already. Which is opening up pressure inside as well.

As for Ray, I was really disappointed. I expect at best a 6th is what we'll get for him at this point.

One of the subtle things done this offseason is Von has been moved from SOLB to WOLB. They have had to have him at the strong side because of his ability in the run game but now with Chubb being a good run defender it gives Von the chance for a few more 1-on-1 opportunities.

Miller needs 11.5 sacks to become the Broncos all time leading sacker in team history. Currently held by the very underrated Simon Fletcher.

NO way - he doesn't get that this year. Good for Von!

This year, next year. Doesn't matter. Von Miller is going to easily go down as the greatest defensive player in Broncos history. He's going to carve out a number of records that could stand for many years. We're lucky to be fans and watching this special player in his prime and donning the Orange and Blue every week. So grateful he's here.
