Can't get much information yet but looks as if he got hit in the head today by a 92MPH pitch. Was taken to the hospital. Reports that he was bleeding from the nose. Not sure if he ever lost consciousness. Injury seems to be to the eye and the bone structure around it.

I loved Voggy .... he was a great Giant .... hope all goes well for him ...

I have not seen the entire video, but I saw the hit and the first min or so of him on the ground. It looked to hut him rather flush.

That stinks, just on a personal level, beyond the fact that he was having a decent comeback season as a long reliever/spot starter for the Pirates. The Rockies' pitcher was extremely wild in that game. Not surprised one got away from him like that. Praying that Vogelsong's injuries heal quickly.

Unfortunately the report I read said it hit him in the helmet and then shot straight into his orbital bone. Very tough injury to come back from for a batter. (I know he is a pitcher)
