Virginia Tech Basketball Week 6: Dec. 10 - Dec. 16, Miss. Valley St., Ga. Southern

Not watching the game against Miss Valley St (0-5 from the SWAC) but we're only ahead by 4 with 2 mins left in the first half. Shooting percentages are awful and Green literally has half of our points. Anyone watching want to elaborate on these eyebrow raising events?

Probably just playing down to the opponent. Not much intensity. Rebounding remains a major concern, getting outrebounded 23-17 at the half.

I don't really think the shooting percentages are that bad. What is bad is our defensive rebounding. I would like more balanced scoring, but most of the misses are from walkons.

We got a 16 point lead with 11 mins left in the game. Eyebrows have been returned to the normal relaxed position

Intensity was bad in the first half. JJ put in Beyer pretty early because he's the only one who likes blocking out and rebounding. That was pathetic in the first half. Cadarian looked bad rebounding and scoring (or lack there of).
Rankin looked much better, he must have read my post lol.
Green looked good like always.
Brown and Eddie couldn't hit anything on offense, but Eddie rebounded well.
JVZ looked really good too- blocking shots, some good dunks on nice feeds from Green and Brown, and better rebounding than Cadarian.
I thought both Wood and CJB did some good things.

I like what JJ did in the first half when he put Christian Beyer in to help the rebounding. I thought he looked pretty good rebounding the ball in limited minutes.

Georgia Southern game at 2pm today. Should be an easy win, so hope to see us 9-1 afterwards. I'll be at the game so I won't be posting around here. ESPN 3 for those interested in watching.
