One of the all-time great Pats, shoo-in for a 1st ballot red jacket...I don't know if he'll get the love for a gold one he deserves because he always put the team ahead of his own stats, but make no mistake he deserves it...probably the most underrated great player of his era. Enjoy what comes next, Vince!

No doubt he retires as a Patriot. No doubt he's a firts ballot for NE HOF. NFL I think he gets in not on the first try but he eventually does as writers agree he was a supreme run stopper in a pass happy league. One of a very few who did what he did.

The Patriots have called a 12 p.m. news conference Wednesday to host Vince Wilfork, who announced his retirement yesterday. Wilfork, a rock in the middle of the defensive line and one of the franchise's most personable players, was with the Patriots from 2004-2014 and part of two Super Bowl champion teams.
