One of the best games the Kings have played in quite a while. Solid effort all night long with the exception of the terrible turnover in the middle of the slot leading to the first Boston goal. The second goal was just a great tip-in by Florek. The Kings really shut down the Bruins' big guns Marchant, Bergeron, Iginla and Lucic. Generated a lot of good scoring chances and even scored 4 goals. Including a power play goal. Be still my heart.
Saw something I've never seen with the interference call on Hamilton as he stepped out of the penalty box and played the puck before he was actually on the ice. Never saw anyone do that before. I didn't even realize it was a penalty. Weird play.
Passing could have been a little crisper and more accurate but I guess you can put some of that on the Boston defense. After all they are the second best defensive team in the NHL. The Kings did enough right to chase Tukka Rask and get more goals than they've scored in a while. Now keep it up boys and take care of the Red Wings on Saturday so we can send all their transplanted fans home as sad as all those Bruin fans that were there tonight were when they left Staples. And there were a lot of them.
