Michael Vick of Philadelphia Eagles -- '100 percent' I'll play vs. San Francisco 49ers - ESPN
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick told reporters Wednesday that the chances of him playing Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers were "100 percent."
Vick took part in a walk-through Wednesday and his injured right (non-throwing) hand was good enough that he took snaps from center.
"It's a little sore," Vick told reporters, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I gotta do what I gotta do right now, and that's try to get back on the field just as fast as I can."
Although his hand, which has a deep bone bruise, was "pretty painful" during the walk-through, according to the newspaper he said, "I think there's a 100 percent chance I'll be out on the field this weekend."
Reid, earlier Wednesday, said Vick's injury looked better.
"I can't tell you the hand was 100 percent," Reid said in a conference call. "It was good enough to take a snap. It improved quite a little bit from yesterday to today. I expect it to continue to improve."
Although Vick is confident he's playing Sunday, the quarterback's ability to squeeze the ball and further risk of injury will help to determine if he plays Sunday, Reid said.
"If he can't squeeze the ball 100 percent or is in jeopardy of being injured further, we're not going to put him in there," he said.
The Eagles had said on Sunday that Vick's hand was broken, but a CT scan taken Monday showed, rather, that it was a contusion.
