It wasn't my choice but he's the Broncos head man now, so he'll get my full support. Will be interesting to see how he shapes the rest of his staff.

Agreed. This seems to be a move from the norm of coach that Elway has hired. I get the impression that Vic will have no problem Elway his opinion.

Congrats on the hire and I am happy for Fangio. I expect the defense will be better next year. Even with a decimated roster in 2014, under Fangio the 49ers had a top 5 defense. Harbaugh owed alot of his success in the NFL to Fangio. I was a big fan and was pissed when they chose Tomsula over Fangio. With his years of experience in the NFL, he should have no problem finding good assistants.

Old School - Old School! I love it!

Fangio gets two Kahlil Macks - with the Broncos - twice the fun. Go Broncos.

I'm more worried about how Kubiak will do.

I'm pissed - I'm going to boycott and not watch any Broncos games next year!

I love this

This is the NFL ladies and gentlemen, and what we did not need was some 30-something, coattail riding, Starbucks sipping wanna be millenial failed NFL QB who goes into a hair salon with a picture of that ***** Sean McVay and pays $500 for a bad haircut and gel ..

Defense wins the AFC West and NFL Championships

All the way back top when he was the LBs coach with the Saints in the late 80s and Dome Patrol, The Godfather has been an integral part of great NFL defenses ..

Never been so proud to be a Bronco fan .. Any questions ??

Also I’m pretty sure it’s the norm for a head coach who specializes in one side of the ball to give up control to the other side when he becomes head coach, for example I don’t think Sean McVay has much to say over the Rams defense, I’m pretty sure that’s all Phillips.

Yea. No. Having an OC "donated" to you who happens to be friends with your boss for the past 30 years and has full access to the Boss would be intimidating to anyone.

I don't want to come across as super negative - I'm perfectly fine with the HC selection. Unthrilled (yes I made up that word) with Kubiak, if it is indeed as OC.

My feeling is that Elway wanted a "known" as opposed to taking a risk .. In Kubiak, there will be that guarantee that everyone is on the same page, but unlike a simple "yes man", I get the feeling that Elway has the utmost respect for Kubiak and his decision making -- if there is one guy who Elway would actually listen to, it would be Kubiak ..

A Super Bowl winning HC as OC is not a bad thing, esp when considering his career-long dedication to this organization ...

But it’s not like Fangio was just getting this information now, Kubiak was probably with Elway at the dinner they had and I bet they went over everything. Fangio wouldn’t have taken the job if he would be uncomfortable with the situation.

I am very happy with this decision. Fangio will have our D back to dominance in no time. Love it.

Not super high on Kubiak, but whatever. Our offense didn't need to be great to when a SB. If we manage Keenum right next year, I have no reason not to believe our defense will keep us in playoff contention.

I am ok with Kubiak being back in the coach area but I would have preferred an advanced offensive assistant/talent evaluator role. Our draft last year was so good and to lose any of the draft preparation going forward will be disappointing.

That being said Kubiak knows more about Keenum then maybe anyone and should be able to get the most out of him. I believe that a vet QB will not be high on the list going into the offseason, but I believe we will draft a QB at some point. I hope we bring in someone that we can see being an OC in a couple years as I am worried how long he will be able to coach.
