I think you are confused. I’m not saying it will happen, I’m just saying it’s a better money play because of the odds.

Two different arguments.

I know. I just enjoy reminding them where they currently stand.

:D

Clemson or Bama are safe bets, but if you want to make some money, bet Texas or Florida

The ESP5N Cartel won't invite us to the Invitational. Vegas likes small print exceptions like that.

Sarcasm is apparently lost on poster who go on multiple sites and have meltdowns.

UCF doesn't have to be invited. They won it for the 2017 season.

Welp if Utah hires Andy Ludwig from Vanderbilt, I like Utah’s chances a lot more. He was the OC @ Utah when we Smaked Alabama in the Sugar Bowl! So I’m not voting for any of these teams. Right now Utah is 80/1 to win it.

Taking Texas is flushing money down the toilet. One meaningless bowl win doesn’t mean they are anything more than a perennial 4+-loss team.

They just have to get lucky twice a year and they run their schedule. Toughest games next year are LSU (catch them early) and OU. They end up playing a PAC team in the playoff and Bam they are in the final.
Didn't Texas lose something like 7-8 starters on defense?

That's a lot of faith in Scott Frost for a big turnaround for Nebraska to have those odds.

It is because Nebraska fans will make bets. The sportsbooks love making easy money. 25-1 is low enough that Nebraska fans will still bet it. Now, if the odds were 200-1 there would be more betting, but then the sportsbooks could be on the hook for a big loss.

Nebraska fans bet.
Most Nebraska fans realize it is a bad bet.
No one bets anymore.
The Sportsbooks raise the odds come July as the betting has dried up and they want to make money on the vigorish.
