For those soft hearted souls that have wanted to see Buffalo and Vancouver play for the championship (1970 cousins) it kinda sorta happened.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- The Buffalo Flash is a league champion in just its second year of existence.
The Flash won the United Soccer League W-League title Saturday night with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Saturday's win topped off an unbeaten season for the Flash (14-0-2), and it had to beat another undefeated team to take the title from Vancouver (8-1-4). The game was nationally televised on the Fox Soccer Channel.
