Last time the Dolphins hired a HC, they took an overrated offensive coordinator and made the Bengals defensive back coach the new DC.

Why not try it again?

I've actually liked these 2 hires. Gase when he was with the Broncos actually was a very bright coach. I was very impressed with his work. Yes he had Manning so how much of it was really Gase compared to Manning well I would say Manning never put up better numbers than when he was with Gase. Same with other coaches that have worked with him.

The other thing is often a great Offensive minded person struggles as a Head Coach because they don't hire a great defensive coach. Well Vance Joseph has been a hot name for a very long time. Heck the Broncos tried to get him this year but the Bengals blocked the interview. So I think they have a chance to do well. THe problem will be experience since neither of them have experience at the positions they are being hired for.
