It was inevitible.

5-11 with an 8 game skid.
6-10 with 2 separate 4 game skids
Back to back streak with no losing seasons, gone.
The Broncos have now had as many losing seasons as Super Bowl appearances since Bowlen bought the team. Joseph closed that gap.

Injuries definitely helped doom this team. Sanders loss was likely the final undoing. The offense shut down after he was lost. His loss was more impactful than CHJ’s even.

Still, the above list of “accomplishments” cannot be ignored. I do wish VJ the best. Likable guy and I wanted him to succeed here.

It is very hard to believe that this Bronco's team couldn't see 8 in the box and throw over it successfully.

He didn’t prosper here but why root against him?

He’s a good guy we just aren’t sure if he is a good coach.

Probably too early for him. Hoping he can learn a bit more as a D cord and get another shot elsewhere down the line. He hasn’t done anything to me as a person to root against him.

I'm going to jump to @LGM defense. I think the two year coaching tender involves John Elway - and we call it Vance Joseph. No question Elway made the QB decisions - and influenced the draft as the decision makers.

The Vance Joseph era sucked - and has wasted a couple of years of some very fine player talent. It is not the measure of VJ though - just as Mike Shanahan's 2 years HC job with the Raiders - it just teaches the great ones that they need more control the next time. I hope African American guys aren't just one and done in the league - I hope some get a 2nd bite at the apple.
