Regarding Gee Scott Jr., in his defense he never had an offer from UW.

It's been discussed a lot already, but I don't think UW was interested in him because of his being a local radio personality/helicopter parent.

Petersen hates dealing with the media and having Scott's father being a local media guy, that would probably be a routine pain in the ass.

I mean if he commits somewhere else before actually going to the school then I guess its fair game but that Samoan player that was 5 star that committed to UW, actually enrolled and after a few practices made up a story about his family passing and for whatever reason he needed to go to Alabama.

The stupid lie he made up was what pissed off people more than him leaving

I can't even come close to comparing Ohio State to UW without looking like a lunatic, but you can't deny that UW looks to be a perennial top-15 team with Chris Petersen leading us. We're yet to take the next step, but it looks like we're close.

Petersen has done really great stuff with less talented players. The recruiting for UW has really looked up the past two years (the two best recruiting classes since 2000). Biggest issue we've had against the top tier programs (Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama) has been a gap in talent. The gap is getting narrower and I really think the team is on the cusp of greatness.
