Saves are equally useless, except they're glorified beyond belief, which actually makes them worse than holds in my eyes. The guy who gets the hold very often faces a much tougher situation than the guy who gets the save.

The most useless?????? Worse than saves or holds????? :lame:

Time to move out of mom's basement, and stop reading books on sabermetrics. W/L can be misleading, (at times) but it's far from useless.

Last year, Cliff Lee was 6-9 with a 3.16 ERA, while Tim Hudson was 16-7 with a 3.62 ERA, so I'd say that W/L is pretty useless. W/L is too highly dependent on the rest of the team. Might not be a useless as saves or holds, but pretty useless.

Saying wins and losses are less useful than saves or holds is a fairly accurate statement that most will agree with.
