Sock with 2 double faults to eventually give the game to Thompson.

If Sock loses this match then it is over for us.

He really did lose lol wow. Good thing I don't take Davis Cup very seriously. That was bad. I mean I expected Nick to defeat Isner. Thought it would be 1-1 entering the doubles match tonight

Sock will never be more than an occasional threat to the top players. He has nothing but a forehand and a first serve. He is also a meathead. Does not have the smarts to overcome anything strategy wise. Once someone gets his number he is toast. Hopefully some of the younger Americans can develop more and have a chance to be a constant in the top 5.

I think you are little bit harsh on Sock. I think he has improved tremendously.

Agreed. I will give him that much. He has been trying somewhat harder. I think he hit his ceiling though, or at least pretty close.

Isner had his chances against Krygios as he was up in at least one of the tiebreakers. But he still lost 7-5, 7-6, 7-6.

sock's going to do well for the next several months i'm thinking. clay is what he looks forward to most every year.

i like that he's committed to fitness, and is doing everything in his power to compensate for a lack of a great all around game, just like isner and blake did. gotta go with the weapons you have, and try to improve on the weaknesses as much as possible, and sock's doing exactly that. he'll never be an excellent mover, and top level tennis is 90% about great movement. he's worked hard on mitigating that. can't ask for a whole lot more.

lazy punks like harrison bother me a lot more. if he had half the heart and determination of somebody like michael russell, he could be a top 20 player pretty easily.

Why do you think Harrison is lazy?
