This game had trap written all over it, so I’m happy with the W, and no apparent injuries.

Come on, WV has not beat OU once since joining the conference. Riley was in just Win mode today.

OU's run game was lacking, minus Anderson. Sermon is running timid now for whatever reason. Sutton showed more burst even after his going out with injury. This will need to be addressed.

OU's D looked as if they took a week off. Perhaps its just playing a B12 team.

Kudos to Butler on ISU. He ate us up until his injury. At 6'6" with some speed he is a difficult cover for any DB I'd imagine. Kudos also to the backup QB Noland for a pretty good game, and for the O line for keeping him protected until the last drive. Montgomery had a nice day as well. ISU has worked its way up to B12 mid-level I feel. Wouldn't surprise me if they beat TT, KSU, UT, KU, BU and maybe OSU this year.

Happens every year. I can’t even predict which one it’s going to be. It’s always a head scratcher.

Yeah, but I think ya’s win out. ISU QB is pretty good. They won’t stop your offense though.

It is damning ya’s losing once a year like ya’s do. Its usually one people don’t expect it seems.

The series is really lopsided and will never change. Irrelevant though. Barry Switzer and Jim Walden are not in charge.

What is relevant is:

Lincoln Riley is 1-1 vs. Iowa State.
Matt Campbell is 1-2 vs. Oklahoma.

The last 3 games that have involved one or both of these coaches have all been good close games decided by 10 points or less with an average score of Oklahoma 34.0 Iowa State 29.7. I expect more of the same this Saturday night! Hopefully, ISU plays a clean game. If they do, they have a chance for success.

Catching Oklahoma coming off a loss, you’re probably right. Campbell has had the good fortune of catching OU ahead of Texsa and never coming off a loss.
