rocks me all night long
for a while way back when...I bought radio time for Anheuser-Busch throughout the Southeast, working not from some sterile media office cubicle in NYC or Chicago, but in the field directly with Regional Bud Distributors and reps from their local stations. As can be expected, our emphasis was Men 18-25 (Rock, Country, Contemporary and sports/event sponsorships)...but
Every so often something unique would present itself. Was (as best I remember) an AM/FM station in Georgetown,SC that played Adult Contemp and had shit ratings...but
At sundown, their AM went commercial free, until sunrise...played real "surf sounds" (had a mike on the beach) all night long.
We gave them a bit buy for their creativity. S'funny, we got bookoo unsolicited positive mentions of Bud's "surf sounds" sponsorship - from late night dranking folks in Charleston!
