This is what we got in the draft if you look unbiased and clear-headed.

Trent Murphy (with the injury history of RAK and Kerrigan he will start at some point his rookie season is my bet and RAK may be gone next season and he'll start then as well)- He led the nation, the entire NCAA, in sacks this last season as a captain. He was the best player on a great defense in 2012 and a good defense in 2013. He didn't run a great 40...big deal. The man makes plays in the backfield and that is what you want for a 3-4 OLB.

Morgan Moses (At worst will compete for a starting job in his rookie season and at best he wins it)- First round talent with question marks on desire (so we have been told). It's almost impossible for anybody on this board to understand exactly what little things makes a good OT in the NFL. I can say this...nobody abused him in his collegiate career and considering who he has gone against...that is saying something.

Spencer Long (I predict he will start this season at G...if fully recovered he may start week one)- He was injured; however, do any of you really understand what it is to be a preseason All American? Best in the nation at your position is what it states. His season got cut short and that sucks for him but he's far better than Yankey and Richardson (both of whom were overpublicized just like Duke Williams a couple of years ago).

Brashaad Breeland (Will compete with Tracy Porter but my guess is he's #4)- Was a second round prospect according to most "talking heads." Obviously he was a fourth round prospect that we can be happy with.

Ryan Grant (will force Santana off the team)- Good routes and good hands.

Lache Seastrunk (Depends on how quickly he picks up blocking schemes but could be 3rd down back early)- Simply adds even more speed to this team that is probably the fastest in the NFL already. Will be a third down back if he learns to block.

A KICKER- honestly how many of us follow kickers and have an opinion?

i feel like i usually disagree with most of the shit you say but i agree with basically all of this. the spencer long part might be a little extreme though, let him ease into the role.

I would add that Breeland is a very good special teams player. He should impact punt coverage teams pretty much right away.

I haven't seen one husker fan say anything but positive stuff about Long. Most saying he'll be a stud and it was a great pick. Hope they're right.

Very fair assessment gk...
And I have been saying it since we drafted these guys. We won't know for a few years, but the first 4 picks have starter potential. I predict 2 of them at least will end up long term starters (my $$$ is on Long and Moses) and maybe up to 4 if the cards fall right. That's a pretty damned good draft, even if only 2 become really good players and a lot if the others contribute. I don't think it is nearly as bad as some are making it out to be. Only time will tell.
