Two Ex-Rams being Danny Amendola and Mike Hoomanawanui get their Superbowl rings. Also of note, New England special teams ace Matthew Slater who is the son of legendary Rams offensive tackle Jackie Slater gets his first ring-something his father could not accomplish even though Jackie played in the Superbowl against Pittsburgh which we lost. I was proud that all three of these guys finally did get this accomplishment but I hated that they had to play on a cheaters team that will forever taint the game.

Was great to see Warner hand the trophy to Brady, Kurt looked happier than I've seen him look in years. Congrats to Dan and Mike on their rings. Time to party at Kraft's house. Kurt hopes he's invited.

Was it just me or did that goal line call that gave the Pats the Super Bowl remind anyone else of the same exact thing that happened to us against San Diego where we gave them the game?

Nope, UVA. It wasn't just you. Shottenheimer called nearly the identical play against San Diego that got the same results as Seattle. As I mentioned in another thread on the open forum, that play is just a bad call for that scenario and the results are the same. Carroll should have never allowed that call to go through not when you have Lynch just ready to score that close to the goal line.

Well ALR one of those two cheaters had to win...

UVAGuy I immediately thought of that play.

So glad that Cheat Carrol didn't get two in row however it does put into question my belief that Pete sold his soul to the Devil.

Maybe Bill sold his to him first!

Congrats to Mike and Danny!

I was pulling for little Russ, but Petey blew that call. So much for the wuff pack getting his 2 in a row.

Sherman may be getting Tommy John surgery on that elbow. Takes a year plus for baseball players to recover, but could be shorter considering he's not throwing, just tackling.

I still don't understand why they didn't run Lynch in that situation after the success he had against them. There was still plenty of time left on the clock if they didn't make it the first time since they still had a timeout remaining.

Nobody understands it. They got too cute with the playcall and it will haunt them the rest of their careers, if not lives. Heck, I still re-live a throw from the outfield in the 11th grade, lol.

Seems simple. Lynch just ran through them for 4 yards to the 1. Run again on 2nd down. If unsuccessful, call the timeout. Pass play on 3rd down. If unsuccessful, you can run or pass on 4th. Play to your strengths instead of trying to trick the opposition. That was Shottenheimer-esque, straight out of the end of the San Diego game.

You mean this one? It was actually the first thing that sprung to mind upon seeing the play last night.

Actually... for all of the whining and complaining from last night... strictly from a x's and o's standpoint, it wasn't really a "terrible" play call at all.

If you look at the tape, there was no reason to change the play. New England's personnel and Seattle's pre-snap read actually favored the Seahawks throwing the ball, complete with an 8 man front ready to sell out on the run. 9 times out of 10, this play works. They gambled on an extremely high percentage pick play to beat New England's rookie 5th CB, and lost.

Im very happy for Amendola and Hoho. I think dola deserves it. He's a hellava player and has had some bad luck with injuries in the past. Hoho well good for him ha. I didn't care who really won the superbowl but I was leaning forwards NE because the ex rams were on the team.

BTW that play is scary spooky. It's pretty much the same exact play with the same exact result.

Well, since they were getting all the praise for Chancellor copying Ogletree on the FG block attempts, glad they also got the bad side by copying Schotty lol.

Its always hard to toss a TD pass in that short of distance. The receivers have to get separation quickly for it to be successful.

Happy for Danny and Michael and congrats to Tom Brady for his 4th ring which solidify him as the greatest QB to ever play the game.
