I sure hope he gets out of his funk. He went from likely rotation ace to minor league demotion candidate in a blink of an eye.

The thing about Crochet is being starting pitcher - after long periods of inactivity - will be an interesting journey for him..

It's a lot to ask of Sox fans to look at this season as a shakedown cruise - and Sox management is not saying it either, but by the end of the Season if the Sox have Identified 5 or 6 guys as valid for the 2025 rotation - this year may have been worth it. I am impressed with Crochet's effort in making himself a starter - it is important to him.

I think Thorpe will get an opportunity to start in MLB sooner rather than later. He has like a .052 era - and a 3-1 record. KO per inning and very few walks. The AA Birmingham team Thorpe is on has had like a 12-5 start on the season. The other guy in the Padre's trade Ijarate is also overpowering the opposition at the AA level.

We simply have to have the worst BP in baseball. I don't have the stats at my disposal to back this up, but I'd lay coinage on this to be true. And easy money at that.

Yes - the Sox had the lead twice and finally lost. Soroka had a very good outing - flirting with a no - hitter through 5 innings.

Flexen pitches for the Sox this afternoon. He had a really good outing last week - we will see if he can be consistent.

The Sox certainly need to work with the outfielders and the cutoff man - because last night - there were 3 Sox throws from the outfield to the plate - missing the cutoff guy and allowing the Twins on base to move up another base.
