Always like the comments by posters on Hogs Haven... Good skins posters IMO. Realistic and knowledgable over all.

What do y'all think? I'm ok with not starting the 1s myself...

I think zero good would've come out of playing the 1st units.

Yep, that's my take too. If they've had good practices...and Jay feels they've shown enough...I'm ok with it. Gonna trust Jays decision. And that Griff will continue to show some progress..until my eyes tell me different.

Dan told Joe to come to his senses if he wants to continue to have open access in Ashburn. Obviously I don't know that but that is the first thing I thought of when Joe made those comments on TV. Someone wearing a suit is not going to like him saying that.

I think someone helped Gruden to decide not to play the ones for a series or two. There is no way Gruden has the autonomy that Shanahan had. That isn't a bad thing since he has never been a head coach in the NFL.

Pretty much what I thought as well. At the end of the day, Joe works for Dan. Notice Dungy hasnt backed off his statement.

It's conceivable that there's a houseplant that's dumber than Theismann (Phil Simms?), but you'd have to look for a while. Don't play the starters, have 'em all rested and ready for the opener. HTTR.

And yet if Thiesmann had come out and said from jump RG3 will be fine he would be being hailed as a very smart individual. He spoke his mind even when his opinion didnt jive with the company line.

To be honest, I cant blame Dan if he did do it. As hard as I am, have been on RG3... the last thing he needs right now is public criticism from within the house. Joe is a part of the family. Comments like that coming from Dungy are one thing, but from inside the house..... Dan needed to tell Joe if you cant say something nice, STFU. Now if Dan told him to recant himself... that is crossing a line though.

I love Joe but considering the circumstances Joe probably shouln't have said "if there was a competition ..." sometimes you need to recite the company line.
