Bullshit...if you beat the Seahawks, Cardinals and Buccaneers...you have the makings of a Lombardi hoisting team... Plus the Dolphins are leading the AFC east...and they had the all timer Brock Osweiler playing QB today...and if it wasn't for their kicker missing in OT...

5 first half tds. Add that with Da Bears defense. Good luck to the rest of you.
That Bears D just got torched by Brock Osweiler.

This is why you don’t post week 4 champion shit. The Bears have not beat a good team yet.

Trubisky is the 7th highest rated passer in the NFL this year after looking quite bad at times through the first 3 games. He's also added 164 yards on the ground, good for 5th in the NFL at his position (with having had his bye already as well).

He's still got a ways to go but he's made big strides these last couple games and is trending in the right direction. Everything else concerning the Bears is relatively insignificant compared to that. If the Bears' defense plays at 1/4 of their normal capacity yesterday, the Bears are 4-1 with Mitch having compiled 660 yards, 9 TDs to 1 pick, 72% completion %, 100 yards rushing with a ~135 passer rating in the last 2 games. Instead, they're now 3-2 with Mitch having those same numbers in the last 2 games.

People can make shit out of the Bears and their fans to the heart's content but the arrow is pointing way up for the Bears right now even coming off a tough loss.

Yesterday should quiet the bears talk for a while.

They are still a work in progress with a rookie coach ... time is needed to see exactly what they are

The thread was created by a Bears fan and he says this...

“5 first half tds. Add that with Da Bears defense. Good luck to the rest of you.”

You should expect some backlash after they lose. Especially when Osweiller makes Da Bears defense look pedestrian at best. And generally, when you come off a loss to an average team playing a backup QB, the arrow is pointing down, not “way up” as you put it.

Fans won't believe it until you beat a good team

Everyone doubted Vikes last year, all the way to the NFCCG.

Sure they fell short, but most comments were one and done, easy out, etc

Enjoy the ride, see what happens

4 of their next 6 games are against the Jets, Bills, and Lions (twice) ... The Bears probably need to be sitting at 7-4 or better after that stretch if they want to hype themselves as a good team

The arrow is pointing way up. The Bears have lost 2 games on the year by a combined 4 points, and both times they were in position to win them. It's to be expected even if it's disappointing.

We've got the 7th highest rated passer in the league (even though people say he sucks), a great defense (that happened to lay an egg last game), lots of good passing game weapons. We've dominated time of possession on the season and can sustain drives. We're 3-2 while easily could have been 5-0 with a couple more breaks going our way. There's a ton of potential yet to be realized on this team and we're still leading the division.

Were this a finished product like a Packers are supposed to be (for example) with an experienced QB and head coach and mature system, then you'd have a point. The Bears are the exact opposite though and learning to figure stuff out... on both sides of the ball and on the sidelines. The fact that the Bears were considered such heavy favorites on the road against a team that started off 3-0 speaks to how well things have been going.
