Pretty sure he was at .316 and he went 2 for 4.
Bogaerts was at .315 and he went 2 for 4.

Either way it should be a close race

Would be fun to see.

Will Judge pass Bogaerts for BA?
This one will go down to the wire, both guys are really hitting the ball. The fact he has 20 more HR's than the next guy is amazing. Hasn't been done since 1928.

I still can't believe you aren't in the Whiffle Ball Hall of Fame. My induction into the stick ball hall of fame is still the greatest moment of my life. Probably shouldn't have drank so much before the speech/ "I want to thank my mother for making me possible" was not how I wrote it out

I was a gambler in my younger days......probably has hindered my induction.....we used to play stickball for beer, the loser had to buy the case......we rotated a batter, pitcher and fielder, whoever had the least runs scored had to buy......

We used to play handball for $5 each (Doubles so $10 per team) per game. My handball partner (Died at 40 RIP) Donald and I were almost unbeatable. Not great in singles but for some reason when we played doubles guys that were both better than us couldn't beat us. It wasn't so much the money (Which in the late 80's and early 90's was worth a bit more than now) we'd be concerned with, it was that once you lost there were usually so many teams waiting to play on the main court you were done for the day. We'd usually win 3 or 4 games before getting exhausted and getting beat. Probably shouldn't have smoked weed between games. Whatever we won went to weed and beer. Good times.
We used to also play the 3 man stickball but not for money.

The two other guys I played stickball with were also pitchers, the games were tight because all of us could bring it......

I threw strikes but I couldn't throw hard. Had a buddy who could really bring it and he messed his arm up pretty bad playing everyday with us one summer. He was the ace on his high school team. He never actually got hurt but he went into his Jr year and lost a ton of velocity. Serves him right for throwing all those fastballs

Two of us were all county and one of us was 1st team all state, not saying who , but throwing stickball all summer long didn’t do me any favors when I got to college and eventually my arm fell off…..

I'm in the same boat, but the new veteran's committee seems to be a little more tolerant. And much like Baseball Reference has now included ***** League stats, I'm hoping the committee will consider the walk off shot I hit in Gym class.

Actually we were outside for that. It was a legit shot though. Cleared one of those high fences that surround a tennis court.

In all seriousness, it's amazing that he's even cracked the top 10 despite missing about one third of the season. The only times Trout's posted a worse OPS+ were 2020 (167) and his MLB debut in 2011 (89).
