Depending on who has the 1st pick he could say to hell with it I'm staying another year because of the rule just for this season it doesn't count toward their eligibility

Even though the owner and maybe GM will be the same, whoever gets the #1 pick will probably have a coaching change.

No way he's going to pass up the money. Staying in college when you are likely the #1 overall pick is a poor financial move. Not only do you risk injury that could kill your draft stock the following year meaning less money - you miss out on starting your pro clock. The sooner you get started, the sooner you can hit F/A and get the big money. Not to mention - chances of him ever recouping that 1st year salary with future earnings would be slim.

He won't pass up the money
This. The injury risk could rob him. Hard to say though as Tua only lost out on about $6mil by falling to #5 overall. Lawrence has a higher pedigree than Tua at this point so I don’t see him falling out of the top 2-3 even if he’s coming off an injury.

I’ll make a prediction now that the team with the #1 selection will have Bieniemy as their HC before the draft. (Or if not, the team with the #2 pick)

Lawrance is only a junior. He didn't need the new rule.

F'ing crazy that he is only a junior when we have seen him in so many big time college football games already.

31-1. 550+ completions. 7000+ yards. 70-12 TD to INT ration. 700 & 13 TD's rushing.

Will be able to buy his first legal beer in 4 days.

yep, pull the ol i dont wanna go there
He could but then he would be passing up top pick money and risk injury which could drop him if sever enough. Ron's a good coach so I'd think he wouldn't mind going to DC.

:fap: :hope:

With the covid rule he would still have 2 years left in college but he’s off to the NFL next year. ESPN just like making random “what I would do, if I was TL” takes, from skipping college football after his first year, to going the XFL, they never get this right. Also he already had a slip with saying it’s hard s last year

Very true.

Matt Leinart probably still wishes he had left USC one year earlier.
