I always had hope Spriggs would work out and be a decent lineman. He was rated to high by the Packers I guess. I was not aware he was injured this camp as well. Then they go get another running back

Packers claim RB Keith Ford off waivers

The Green Bay Packers have claimed RB Keith Ford off of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts and waived/injured T Jason Spriggs. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

Ford, a 5-foot-10, 219-pound first-year player out of Texas A&M, was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2018. He spent most of last season on the Bills’ practice squad before being signed to the active roster on Dec. 12, 2018. He played in two games with one start, recording 79 yards on 21 rushes (3.8 avg.) and three receptions for 21 yards (7.0 avg.). Ford was released by the Bills on May 13 and signed with the Colts on July 29. He will wear No. 27 for the Packers.

Ted missed on too many high draft picks in his last years. Should have three solid starters still on the team for the spots he drafted Randall, Rollins, and spriggs.

I hate that people are calling Sherrod a bust. He never got a chance because of the leg break. My bigget first round pick for TT was Justin Harrell

Definitely true about Sherrod. He could have been a solid player if not for bad injury luck.

Thompson should have been replaced three years ago.

Based on stats, Boyle should get the nod for backup QB. We will find out shortly.

Through a preseason in which Rodgers did not take a snap, Boyle put up the better numbers. He finished the four August games 34-of-57 for 356 yards with six touchdowns, no interceptions and a 112.9 passer rating. Kizer was 25-of-45 for 273 yards with two TDs and two INTs for a 70.0 rating.

It’s still hard to give up on Kizer. He’s only 23 and had a new coach each year. I still expect us to keep both.

I'm not impressed with any of the Packers backup QB's. If Rodgers gets hurt again they are in deep shit.

The saddest part about your comment isn’t our back up QB. The saddest part is what it says about this team. Unfortunately it’s been like that for years.

That said, I know I’m going to get chastised for this but I see a 7-9, 6-10 season this year with Rodgers. Without- 3-13, 2-14. Yea I know, I know negative Nancy. I like to think I’m more of a realist and try not to see my team thru green and gold goggles on.

I try to be positive but Rodgers is the key and the defense has to step up.

I think the defense is more key than Rodgers. I’m just tired of seeing the opposing offense convert 3rd and whatever on a consistent basis.
