Thin at tight end. Giffins check down guys are growing thin. Might have to chuck it downfield.

Practice Notes: 2015 #SkinsCamp, Day 13

here are some practice notes . not good that crowder isnt getting time because of injury

looks like he wont be what we thought

So you are writing Crowder off because he is not practicing in August?

I do find it interesting that Gallette is considered a stud pass rusher after averaging 11 sacks the past 2 seasons and Orakpo was considered a huge disappointment after his 3rd season when he was averaging 9.5.

Excerpt

  • Linebacker Junior Galette participated in full-team work for the first time, taking a couple snaps at right end in nickel situations. The man springs out of his four-point stance, crouching and then exploding. He likes to go wide and can really dip low and turn the corner. He got past the tackle once by doing so. The next time, he stutter stepped then dashed inside. I'd like to see him vs. Williams. I did see him beat tight end Je'Ron Hamm on a rush that would have resulted in, at the least, a hit on Griffin. You can see the energy Galette brings to the field.

  • Linebacker Preston Smith was a bit too strong for Hamm on one block; Smith's first step got him inside and his power kept him there.

i am saying that a rookie 4th round draft pick is missing too many reps and gruden says he is out til game 3 preseason . not much time to shine

i have always been a Rak supporter and i havent said much about gallette because he hasnt practiced yet

Oh I agree that Crowder missing time is a big problem. But maybe I misread your intent but to me "maybe he won't be what we thought" sounds like you are writing him off. I'm not even ready to write him off for this upcoming season, I think he will contribute at some point.

no i just think instead of contributing right away he may not be able to until mid season and we will live with crappy returns until then

I think he may be able to return punts sooner than that. At least we all hope so.
