I'd have to say the Broncos are happy with the first week of training camp. It is so nice to have no questions about who is the QB!

I’d say roll with Jewell. He has had a good camp and 2-3 weeks would mean he might be ok by week 1. Ya never know but sounds likely he could be.

I don’t think it will hurt him. The best Center will start. Pushing someone to the ground isn’t going to impact that. If he starts punching teammates practice after practice then sure. Camp shoving is a thing.

As long as Davis is really only out 2-3 weeks I doubt we sign a vet before week 1 in which we have to guarantee their contract for the entire season. If Davis injury lingers and Jewell plays bad during the first few weeks then yeah, probably sign someone.

Apparently he has a serious foot injury. Once he clears waivers the Dolphins are going to stash him on injured reserve I just read. I wonder if the foot injury was pre-draft because it would make sense as to why he fell.

Important Roster changes this year. I mentioned these a few months back, but as a reminder incase anyone is wondering.

NFL Practice Squad this year are 16 man PS (Due to Covid) I believe they were adding 2 spots anyway to up them to 14, but they added 2 more for covid.

You can have up to 6 vet players on your PS this year. So technically you could put Peyton Manning on the PS if he wanted to play again.

Teams are allowed to protect 4 players on the PS every Tuesday. So no team can poach players off your PS for 4 players unless they do it right after the game on Sunday. Same rule applies though that if a team does poach the team who is carrying that player on their PS can active the player before losing the player to poaching team.

IR- There is an unlimited number of players you can activate off IR after 3 weeks. A guy pulls a hammy and he can go on IR and be activated after 3 weeks. KJ Hamler could end up being a candidate for IR in this case. If he we feel he will miss 2 weeks of the season. Give him a 3rd week to rest. Austin Fort will surely. I think you're going to see a season much like MLB where players come and go off lists. IR, PS, etc...

NFL teams can fine NFL players for refusing to take a COVID test. I doubt that is an issue.

A team may promote a practice squad player to the active roster 90 minutes prior to a game.

When you think about it our roster is at 80. 53 man roster. IR spots and 16 man PS. Majority of these guys on our roster will probably start the season on the roster one way or another.

I love the new rules they make a team have more options.

I wish they would have a QB deal were developing QB's 5 per team.

Sounds excessive but think of the bums that get trotted out every week getting paid wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than they should.
