You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.
Was curious to see if a team's offensive production increased while they were losing.
Tried pulling this data a few different ways but I kept getting the same totals.
It doesn't look right (to me) because it shows most all NFL teams trailing for a large chunk of the time. Maybe that's true?
So if that's true, I used the median of 77.9% to separate the top 16 teams from bottom 16 teams. Then I calculated the difference between yards gained while trailing compared to a team's total offense.
To be honest, I'm still not sure how to interpret this? Either way, here it is:
