Trades/Deadline deals that pissed you off

With trade deadline day fast approaching(Feb.27th),I was going through some of the deals that the Flyers made that pissed me off or surprised me.

I'm not talking about guys like Patrick Sharp or Justin Williams here.IMO they didn't really prove themselves while on the Flyers roster,and developed later.

I'm talking about guys that proved themselves,and played with heart.Or should have been able to retire a Flyer.

You topic doesn't really go with your list...but

Gagne, Poulin, Propp and Recchi (the second time) should never have been traded. LeClair also should not have been bought out.

As for deadline ire....trading for Dan McGillis and saying that will cure all, or trading for Kent Manderville ...and saying that is "all we need", that pissed me off too. The blind, no one out there can help us attitude.

ha i'm only 26, and my memory as a flyer fan doesn't go much farther back than i'd say 10-12 years old. if i don't remember watching the player play then i cannot pass judgement as i am not a stat guy, like to form my own opinion of a guy.

I still dwell on that one. He was a great locker room guy, high energy, and better than carcillo. I still doubt it was the salary dump people tried to say it was because of a $300,000 price difference.


Oh and we gave up a 2nd round pick with scotty I think. WTF

How could I forget about Sharp? Prime example of dumping talent for nothing just because the coach didn't like the guy.

Danny Markov was a solid addition. Calder was garbage. Carcillo was fun but not worth Scotty and a pick. I forget what we gave up for Bryz's rights, but whatever it was we overpaid in order to overpay him.
