I was offered CJ Spiller for Edelman. Do I take this trade? I personally think its a no brainer. Edelman is a flex option at best on my team and only really needed him during the bye weeks. Spiller on the other hand has big potential but is injured at the moment so it's hurting his stock. I picked Edelman up off the waiver wire before week 1 and he's treated me well when I've needed him. I would be stupid not to do this trade right?

Personally, I don't think it is as cut and dried as you do. Spilling and Jackson have been sharing duty about right down the middle. Edelman's production will take a small hit with Gronk back, without knowing what other WR's you have and how bad the other guy needs a WR it is hard to tell. If he really wants Edelman, try to get a more exclusive back. Spiller just don't excite me that musch, but that is just my opinion.

Have the Red's found a manager yet?

My WR situation is good, it is my RB situation that is very delicate. I have Fred Jackson and as someone stated he will get hurt, its not an if but a when. My other RB's are Pierre Thomas (who I start as well) and Andre Ellington. I have been blessed by what Thomas and Jackson have done so far, I am just trying to find a good buy low candidate and I think right now Spiller and MJD are great options but the guy with MJD wants the world from someone.

And Bryan Price will be replacing Dusty Baker. The current pitching coach. Don't know how I feel about that. The pitchers will continue to be abused....

Since you have Jackson, seems the obvious move to snag Spiller. I am not a big believer in the "he will get hurt some time this year" forecasts. No one on this board has a crystal ball and has no idea what will happen. Think you made the right decision.

Good luck with the new skipper in Cincy. I know from reading Reds fan's post here andon the CBS gametracker messages that they thought Dusty had run his course.

Yep good riddance to Dusty. It was time to go last year. Good luck in the World Series. I'll be cheering for the Cards, I hate the Red Sox just a little bit more.

Spiller will have some good games down the stretch and is definitely worth Edelman. Edelman is WW fodder and you can't get greedy by asking for more than a player who was taken, at worst, in the 2nd round.

...and other than Homer looking better, I don't see why Pryce was handed the job...but I'm curious to see the non-Dusty batting lineup!!!

...and yeah, the DH stinks! the percentage of players that can bunt these days is single digits...it's pathetic.

:agree:

This is a no brainer. Do it before he changes his mind. Edelman has very little trade value at the moment. The fact that he can be used to return Spiller is pretty sick.

The guy did the trade. Personally I couldn't believe he would sell that low, but I can't complain since I got Spiller. I think down the stretch and into the playoffs he'll be a big part of my offense.
