He plays better than Siemian.

Tebow couldn't beat Orton out, but when it came down to who led us to the playoffs and who didn't, the results were clear.

I would not be opposed to bringing him back if the cost wasn't high. He is at least good enough to make an NFL roster compared to the QB we might sign off the street.

At this point if the backup plays it is going to be beyond ugly. I had a ray of hope that if Kelly was forced into action that there would not be a drop off. With Hogan or whoever we sign would be a quality drop. Maybe we can trade for someone's backup, but there would be learning curve.

At this point I would like to see us use the extra spot for a position player. Might just leave it empty for now so we don't have to cut someone for Cravens or Sunshine.

Chances are that Keenum isn't going to get the Broncos anywhere beyond 8-8 at best but with Hogan under center, I suspect that the outcome would be worse. We'd be going from mediocre to bad.

I think 8-8 is a tad optimistic. I'd say 6-10 would be succesful for Keenum.

I agree. That's why I said "at best". Either way, it looks like the Broncos are heading toward a pretty high draft pick in 2019.

We have a lot of negativity here. I think we can do better than that. The schedule doesn't setup that bad. Worst case I see the schedule going as below:
at KC - L
vs Texans - W
at Chargers - L
vs Steelers - L
at Bengals - L
at 49ers - W
vs - Browns - W
at Raiders - W
vs Chargers - W

Normally, I would probably view it through the same lens but last year's 5-11 record coupled with some tough losses this year, has me more pessimistic than usual. Your assumptions could be right. The one positive thing that I think they have going is that they held the two best teams to their lowest scores this year and those games were close. Losing to the Ravens in Baltimore was also against a good team on the road. It's that damn NYJ game that has me turned upside down. The Broncos road record in the last two years is abysmal.

If Hogan plays it means we pick really early. Why get Sloter to win one more game? (Maybe) Why is everyone up in a bundle about our backup QB? Its a stop gap for this year. We cant win with Case how we gonna win with his backup street FA?

If Case goes down we pick even earlier then we already will.
